Trevor Noah tonight went for the jugular on Donald Trump, saying that he sounds and acts a lot like a fascist. Noah went through the definition of fascism––celebrating aggressive masculinity, fear of outsiders, nationalism, intolerance of criticism, etc.––and said if people want an illustration of all those qualified, “you just listen to things said by Donald Trump.”
After listening to Trump, Noah admitted he’s “shitting myself” with fear because “it almost stops being funny” at sone point.
He went through everything from his retweet of a Mussolini quote to his attack on freedom of the press to his hedging on the KKK to illustrate his point.
Because as Noah bewilderedly wondered, “Trump needs to find out more about the KKK?!”
